Renovation
The team at Hirison Construction was brought in to reimagine a Japanese restaurant — not just to modernise the space, but to do it with heart. The brief was clear: create a calm, welcoming atmosphere that feels fresh, yet still honours the quiet elegance of traditional Japanese design.
Right from the start, we worked closely with the owner to understand their vision — drawing on the quiet beauty of Japanese aesthetics: clean lines, natural textures, and a sense of stillness. The renovation touched every part of the space, with custom timber joinery, soft feature lighting, and finishes inspired by organic materials and tones.
Key elements of the renovation included:
Custom seating designed to feel relaxed and a little more personal — perfect for intimate dining
Improved kitchen layout to optimise back-of-house efficiency
Carefully integrated lighting to highlight key architectural features
Refined material selections to maintain a clean and authentic design language
A Space That Reflects Culture and Quality
The finished space strikes just the right balance — calm, elegant, and made for lingering over a good meal. It’s the kind of setting that feels considered from the moment you walk in.
This project is an excellent example of how Hirison Construction approaches restaurant fitouts — not just focusing on how things look, but creating an experience that feels right for the brand and for every guest who walks through the door.
